The church is the salt and the light of the world; as such, it is the hope of the world. Therefore, the church should not dodge or run away from the challenges of poverty and underdevelopment facing the present world; rather, it should continue to transform the world through faithful proclamation of the Gospel, and demonstration of God’s love in actions like uplifting the vulnerable. By fulfilling the two, the church will bring holistic transformation and give to the dying world, hope and life
